Arista's Q2 revenue hit $3.04B, up 37.7% YoY, with non-GAAP EPS of $1.02 up 39.7%, and Q3 guidance of ~$3.3B tops prior consensus.

Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET) crossed a milestone in Q2 2026, reporting total revenue of $3.036 billion, a 37.7% year-over-year increase and the company's first quarter above the $3 billion threshold. GAAP diluted EPS came in at $0.95, up 35.7% from $0.70 in Q2 2025, while adjusted (non-GAAP) diluted EPS reached $1.02, up 39.7% from $0.73 in the year-ago period.

Q2 2026 Results

  • Revenue: $3.036 billion, up 37.7% year-over-year and up 12.1% from Q1 2026's $2.71 billion, with product revenue of $2.605 billion and service revenue of $430.5 million.
  • GAAP operating income: $1.378 billion, up 39.7% year-over-year; GAAP operating margin expanded 70 basis points to 45.4% from 44.7% in Q2 2025.
  • Non-GAAP operating income: $1.514 billion; non-GAAP operating margin expanded 110 basis points to 49.9% from 48.8% in Q2 2025.
  • GAAP net income: $1.213 billion, up 36.5% year-over-year; adjusted net income of $1.302 billion, up 39.3%.
  • Non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.02 compares to $0.73 in Q2 2025, reflecting 39.7% growth year-over-year.

What Drove the Results

No consensus EPS estimate was available for direct comparison, but Arista's results represented broad-based growth across both product and service lines. Revenue and operating income grew in close alignment at roughly 38% to 40% year-over-year, with both GAAP and non-GAAP operating margins expanding despite higher absolute spending in research and development ($348.2 million, up from $296.5 million) and sales and marketing ($150.3 million, up from $126.5 million). The operating leverage embedded in the model is visible: R&D and S&M grew at a slower rate than revenue, allowing margins to widen even as the company scaled investment.

The primary divergence between GAAP and non-GAAP figures stems from $120.4 million in stock-based compensation expense included in GAAP results, along with $15.3 million in intangible asset amortization. These two adjustments account for the $0.07 per share gap between GAAP diluted EPS of $0.95 and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.02.

For Q3 2026, Arista guided for revenue of approximately $3.3 billion, non-GAAP operating margin of 48% to 49%, and non-GAAP diluted EPS in the range of $1.06 to $1.08.

Product and Strategic Highlights

Alongside the financial results, Arista introduced its 7060XE7 Series, a next-generation 1.6-terabit portfolio for AI networking fabrics. The company said the platforms deliver up to 100 terabits per second of system bandwidth and support Linear Pluggable Optics, which it said cuts interconnect power consumption by approximately 60% compared to traditional pluggable optics. Arista also outlined new techniques for scale-up, scale-out, and scale-across AI fabric designs, including the open Multipath Reliable Connection 1 (MRC) protocol and segment routing over IPv6. In a separate recognition, Arista was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN and appeared on the 2026 Fortune 500 list.

CEO Jayshree Ullal said in the press release: "As we deliver our first $3 billion quarter in Q2 2026, it is clear that our Arista 2.0 platform strategy is compelling. Customers see networking as the central nervous system for infrastructure from the client to campus to data and AI centers."

Wall Street View

Analyst sentiment heading into the print was constructive, with the most recent consensus as of August 1, 2026 showing 23 Buy ratings and 9 Strong Buy ratings against just 2 Hold ratings and no Sell or Strong Sell recommendations. No specific post-earnings price target revisions were available in the source data at time of publication.

Investor Takeaway

Arista's Q3 2026 revenue guidance of approximately $3.3 billion implies continued sequential acceleration, suggesting the demand environment for AI-oriented cloud networking infrastructure has not shown signs of moderation. With non-GAAP operating margin guided at 48% to 49% for Q3, the company is signaling it can sustain near-50% profitability even as it scales new product lines, a dynamic that could be a key focus for investors assessing whether the current revenue growth trajectory is also margin-accretive. Shares gained 3.04% on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, while the S&P 500 rose 1.80%.
