ServiceNow's AI ACV hit $1B in Q2 2026, with agentic deployments up 9x in nine months and full-year subscription revenue guidance raised.

ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) disclosed that its artificial intelligence platform crossed $1 billion in annual contract value during the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, a milestone the company says was reached as agentic deployments of ServiceNow AI increased ninefold in just nine months. The company simultaneously raised its full-year subscription revenue outlook, citing broad-based demand across its customer base.

Q2 2026 Results

  • Subscription revenues of $3,877 million, representing 24.5% year-over-year growth (23% in constant currency)
  • Total revenues of $3,987 million, representing 24% year-over-year growth (22.5% in constant currency)
  • Current remaining performance obligations (cRPO) of $13.20 billion, up 21% year-over-year (21.5% in constant currency), representing contract revenue to be recognized in the next 12 months
  • Total remaining performance obligations of $29.0 billion, up 21% year-over-year (22% in constant currency)
  • 123 transactions over $1 million in net new annual contract value (ACV) in Q2 2026, growing nearly 40% year-over-year; 658 customers with more than $5 million in ACV, approximately 23% year-over-year growth

What Drove the Results

ServiceNow beat the high end of its own guidance across every top-line and profitability metric in the quarter, according to CFO and President Gina Mastantuono. The AI net new ACV growth outpaced internal expectations, and the company's IT Operations Management (ITOM) segment saw demand for its configuration management database (CMDB) as an AI governance and data foundation. The Security and Risk business was also cited as a beneficiary of the company's AI Control Tower platform.

On the product side, ServiceNow launched Otto, a unified AI experience integrating Now Assist, Moveworks, and AI Experience, designed to route work across departments and enterprise systems. The company also introduced Action Fabric, enabling third-party AI systems to execute tasks through ServiceNow workflows; Anthropic became the first design partner, connecting its Claude model directly to ServiceNow workflows.

Partnership activity in the quarter was broad. ServiceNow and NVIDIA deepened their relationship with Project Arc, an enterprise autonomous desktop agent, and completed integration of AI Control Tower into the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory Validated Design. ServiceNow surpassed $1 billion in AWS Marketplace transactions, extended AI Control Tower governance across Microsoft's Agent 365 ecosystem, and launched a joint offering with Accenture focused on cybersecurity platform migration and AI scaling. ServiceNow and Experian also expanded their global strategic partnership, integrating Experian's Ascend Platform into ServiceNow workflows to support autonomous AI agents across employee onboarding and third-party risk management.

On the public sector front, nearly all 50 U.S. states are using the ServiceNow AI Platform, with reported outcomes including a 66% service desk cost reduction at select state agencies. Leidos, a Fortune 500 national security technology company, also announced deployment of the ServiceNow AI Platform for autonomous, AI-driven workflows.

Wall Street View

Analyst sentiment on ServiceNow remains broadly positive. The most recent consensus data (as of July 1, 2026) shows the stock carries a strong buy-skewed rating profile. However, some market commentary notes that AI disruption poses a structural question for enterprise software companies that bill by the user, a dynamic that applies to ServiceNow's current business model. Shares fell -6.47% on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, while the S&P 500 (proxied by SPY) declined 0.12%, with the company-specific excess decline at -6.35%.

Investor Takeaway

The crossing of $1 billion in AI ACV and the ninefold increase in agentic deployments over nine months provide concrete evidence that ServiceNow's AI monetization is advancing beyond early-stage pilots into recurring contract commitments. The $29.0 billion in total remaining performance obligations, supported by what management describes as longer customer commitments, offers a revenue visibility cushion. The key tension for investors is whether the platform's per-user billing model remains durable as autonomous AI agents begin to reduce the human seat counts that historically drove ServiceNow's contract volume.
